Five boys and three girls from the Mt.  Brittany Marquardt was the 10-old-year girls’ champion and Lucas Lamb was the winner of the 10-year-old boys’ competition.  In the 11-year-olds’ bracket, Kassandra Brown was the girls’ champion and Matthew Bruce was the boys’ champion.  Twelve-year-old winners in the girls’ and boys’divisions were Nicole Weaver and Jacob Garner.  The 13-year-old-boys’ division was won by Nick Stroud.  Mitchell McElroy was the 14-year-old boys’ champion.  Each contestant was allowed 15 free-throw attempts.  Successive rounds of five free throws per contestant settled ties until a winner was determined.

Each of these winners is eligible to compete in the district competition that will be held on Sunday, February 11, 2007 at St. Teresa High School with the hope of moving on to the state level.
